Supporting Athletics at RMU

Robert Morris University is home to 23 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic teams, including the only men’s and women’s Division I ice hockey squads in the Pittsburgh region and the only Division I men’s lacrosse team between Columbus and State College. We play – and win – in the prestigious Northeast Conference (NEC).

At RMU winning goes beyond the field, court, or ice. We’re committed to the total development of our student-athletes, who are regularly named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll and ESPN The Magazine District II Academic All-America Team.

In 2012 RMU's softball team posted the highest grade point average in Division I for the third time in four years, and senior defensive lineman Nolan Nearhoof of the Colonials football team earned the highest academic honor in program history when he was selected as a National Football Foundation (NFF) National Scholar-Athlete. In addition, nearly 60% of our 550 student-athletes maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.

In many ways, RMU’s athletes serve as the face of the university. And they wouldn’t be as successful as they are if not for your support.

That’s where The 1921 Club comes in.

The 1921 Club is RMU's official athletics booster club, dedicated to supporting our athletes both in the classroom and as they represent the university through athletic competition.
