  Academic Policies

Undergraduate Transfer Policy

Robert Morris will generally consider for transfer those credits which have been completed at a regionally or professionally accredited educational institution, consistent with the Statute of Limitations Policy.

A maximum of 69 credits [including transfer or credit by examination] may apply toward degree requirements. In cases when credit hours differ from Robert Morris (e.g., quarter hours) transfer credit will be converted to semester credits.

Credits are considered for transfer in accordance with recommendations made by the American Council on Education. Only those transfer credits that apply to a program are used in determining academic standing. Transfer credits are not included in the calculation of a student's cumulative quality point average.

All students must meet Robert Morris residency requirements. (See policy on Residency Requirements.)

Undergraduate Transfer Procedure

In evaluating such course work, Robert Morris will consider the appropriateness of the courses to the intended program of study. Credit will be granted only for courses which are applicable to the student's program and which have been completed with a minimum grade of "C." Students may be required to provide college or university catalogs, course descriptions and/or syllabi to assist in the evaluation process.
