Robert Morris University recently began a new five-year strategic plan, Preparing Students for a Lifetime of Engagement, Leadership and Well-Being. The new 2014-2019 plan will build from the accomplishments of its predecessor, but the university community re-examined RMU's mission, core values, and major priorities as a normal part of the planning process.
Input into these three plan elements was gathered from the university’s leadership and Board of Trustees during the summer of 2013. In fall 2013 a Strategic Plan Steering Committee comprised of a representative sample of the university community developed RMU’s 2014-2019 mission, core values, major initiatives and associated goals. The 2014-2019 strategic plan has been approved by the Board of Trustees, and individual RMU departments developed goals, measures, and outcomes based on the plan's major initiatives.
