The Program

Robert Morris Students Change Lives

Learning happens not only in the classroom. It happens every day, in every part of your RMU life, and it’s captured on your Student Engagement Transcript (SET).

The SET documents your learning outside the classroom, and becomes part of your academic transcript, an official University endorsement of your leadership roles, community service hours, international study trips, internships, research projects, artistic efforts and more.

You’re expected to participate in at least two of the following seven categories. But we help you find what suits you best. Our students tell us it’s a joyful and fulfilling experience on their journey to academic excellence.

What is Engaged Learning?

SERVICE LEARNING 
You have over a hundred ways to reach out to others. We’ll help you decide.

UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH 
There are plenty of opportunities to dig in and learn from the inside out. It’s called research.

LEADERSHIP 
Leaders are made, not born. RMU has plenty of proof.

ARTS, CULTURE, AND CREATIVITY 
Our campus is rich with opportunities that inspire creativity.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 
Many of our adult and graduate students bring with them a work experience of great value to fellow students. Internships, co-ops, in-class projects with real-world clients — Robert Morris University has an 80-year history of connecting students and the workplace to build foundations for success.
