You’ve returned home from yet another exhausting work day. You know that your current job may not be what you want to do for the next 20 years, and you’re considering a career change.
Should I change my career?
A mid-life career change can be a crucial decision for you and your family and comes with many concerns: What area should I study? How will I finance another degree? How do I find a new job after I’ve completed my degree? You know that you want more control over your future, but you don’t know how you’re going to dedicate time to your education while in the midst of work and family.
RMU is here to help.
We offer more than 20 graduate programs for those looking to change their career paths. Our graduate programs are all focused on careers and industries that are growing and are projected to continue to expand for years to come. You’ll not only be able to earn an advanced degree that will bring you even more success in your work life, you’ll also have the option to learn and study on your own time by taking online or hybrid graduate courses.
Some of the most popular graduate programs for a mid-life career change include:
We care about your education. You’d like to work in an industry that requires further education, and you want to be sure that a graduate program will teach you what you need to know. There’s help every step of the way. We know that you’re busy, and we have a team of people in the Graduate Enrollment Office who can facilitate the whole process, from the time you start to apply to graduation-day preparations and beyond.
We have extensive financial aid assistance. During a mid-life career change, you may not only be wondering how you’ll finance your kids’ college education, but yours as well. Let RMU’s Financial Aid Office help you to understand the financial aid choices that are available—both during your time at RMU and after you’ve graduated.
We also have many tools on our website that can answer questions about what kind of financial aid is offered, but we encourage you to stop by our Financial Aid office to talk to one of our counselors. We’re happy to walk you through your options, and no appointment is necessary.
We have a top-rated career services center. Our career services programs don’t start as you finish your degree. They start the moment you enroll at RMU. We offer career workshops and counseling; resources from our extensive career library; job fairs that draw hundreds of regional and national employers; academic internships that provide you with real-world experience; and full-time job search help. That way, you’ll be armed with everything that you need to land a job at the company of your choice.
