-- The latest edition of RMU in the News is now online.

-- It's that time of year again: The RMU Island Sports Center Holiday Ice Skating Show featuring everyone’s favorite princes and princesses, from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4. Skating performances showcasing the talents of the RMU Island Sports Center's figure skating academy, skating school and synchronized skating teams. There will be an open skate following the show with princesses - for all interested audience members! Advanced tickets for sale: $7.00 general admission. Show Day Tickets: $8.00 for children 12 and under and senior citizens; $9.00 for adults. For additional information, please contact the ISC Front Desk at 412-397-4454.

-- The RMU Honors Program will host the second annual Astronomy Symposium from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in Hopwood Hall.

-- The RMU Concert Choir will host their Winter Performance on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in Massey Theater. Refreshments will be provided, and the event is free and open to the public.

Ben Campbell, assistant professor of engineering, gave a presentation at the National Conference of Governor's Schools in Fargo, N.D. about the efforts being made to restore Pennsylvania's Governor's Schools after the program's budget was eliminated in 2009. He has also been named to the Board of Directors for the National Conference of Governor's Schools, one of two representatives from Pennsylvania.

-- Hyla Willis, associate professor of media arts, is participating in "Sites of Passage" at the Mattress Factory Art Museum on the North Side. The show has been extended to Feb. 12. Willis's project with the art collective subRosa at the Pittsburgh Biennial has been reviewed in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the Pittsburgh City Paper.

Beginning in 2006, the FDA required labels to clearly state if food products contain ingredients that include protein derived from the eight major allergenic foods: milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soybeans.

2012 NCAA® Men’s Frozen Four® Tickets On Sale Now!...The 2012 NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Frozen Four will be held April 5 and 7 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla.Tickets are $195 each and are "all-session" which includes the two national championship semifinal games on April 5 and the national championship game on April 7.
