-- Frank Flanegin, head of the Department of Finance, will be honored by the American Society of Business and Behavioral Sciences (ASBBS) with its Distinguished Service Award at the society's 19th annual conference Feb. 25 in Las Vegas.
-- Samantha Monda, assistant professor of sport psychology, will participate in the 2012 NCAA Scholarly Colloquium held in conjunction Jan. 10-12 with the NCAA annual convention in Indianopolis. This year's colloquium is titled "Academic Reform: Progress, Problems and Prospects." Monda's presentation will be based on the results of her doctoral dissertation from West Virginia University. Her dissertation examined the factors that separate academically successful student-athletes from their peers.
