-- Senior finance major Chad Fritz won the Jamison Roth Student-Athlete of the Year award presented by the College Hockey East league officials. Fritz, who has a 3.48 GPA, served as team captain of RMU's DIII club men's ice hockey team, and was previously honored as a 2011 CHE All-Star and ACHA All American. He is also a member of the National Society for Leadership and Success and National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

-- Communication Professor Rex Crawley was named to the board of directors to the August Wilson Cultural Center in downtown Pittsburgh. The August Wilson Center is one of only two major arts institutions in the world named for Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning playwright and Pittsburgh native August Wilson. The center engages regional and national audiences in its mission of preserving, presenting, interpreting, celebrating and shaping the art, culture and history of African Americans utilizing the rich history, legacy and culture of African Americans from Western Pennsylvania as a foundation.
