-- More than 200 RMU students volunteered in Celebrate Coraopolis, a one-day holiday festival that took place Dec. 1, hosted by the Coraopolis Community Development Foundation (CCDF). Students volunteered with the food pantry, Chinese auction raffle, fair trade sale, Salvation Army kettle bell-ringing, and the Fill the Gazebo event, which was a food collection for the pantry. Students also helped with Elf Training Academy -- a Christmas obstacle course -- a bake sale and coffee shop, and a wreath auction, while RMU's Colonial Glee and the RMU Band Ensemble sang and played music for entertainment throughout the day. All proceeds benefitted the CCDF, which focuses on emergency relief, community resourcing, and community development.
