From the President

There's a lot to consider when you're looking to advance your education. Majors. Financial aid. Course schedules. Overwhelming, isn't it?

But pause for a moment and think about this question: What do you want to accomplish in the next 10 years, or 20?

While it's important where you pursue your education, what matters more is what happens during that time and what comes afterward. Will you simply enroll in a string of classes, or will you grow as a person? Will you graduate with the skill, support, experience and confidence you need to pursue your life goals?

An education from Robert Morris University will provide a solid foundation on which you can build a successful life.

Five core values drive our decisions and actions. At RMU our first commitment is to academic excellence. All of our educational endeavors are professionally focused. Our students develop a global perspective. Our students leave with lives that have been changed. And finally, in all of this we remember that every individual at Robert Morris University matters--students, alumni, professors and staff members.

Building on its 85-year tradition of educational excellence, the University is in a period of intensive growth. In the last two years we've opened a School of Education and Social Sciences and a School of Nursing and Allied Health, and we're exploring the possibility of creating a School of Osteopathic Medicine. We've christened a new football stadium and launched men's and women's NCAA Division I hockey teams, bringing our total number of Division I sports to 23. As the University grows, so do the opportunities it offers.

Classes at RMU blend general knowledge courses with hands-on training and a focus on strong communication skills that will prepare you for careers in fields like business, education, engineering and health care. Ninety-four percent of our bachelor's degree graduates find jobs or enter graduate school within six months.

Whether you're looking to earn a bachelor's degree or an advanced professional degree, an education from Robert Morris University will give you the foundations for success.

Regards,

Gregory G. Dell'Omo, Ph.D.
