Summer Evening Study (credit only)
Robert Morris University offers a variety of evening graduate courses for teachers during the summer to provide training in some of today's highest demand areas. Courses are offered in an eight-week evening session beginning May 27. Classes meet one night per week from 6 to 10 p.m. For a complete listing of course descriptions and dates, see the 2008 Courses page.

Evening Master's Degree Study
If you prefer to pursue your master's degree in the evenings, one course at a time, you may want to consider enrolling in one of our evening graduate programs. Choose from our Master of Science (M.S.) in Instructional Leadership or Business Education degrees, which are designed for education professionals, or select one of our other M.S. or M.B.A. programs. These degrees are offered in an eight-week evening format, allowing students to concentrate on one course at a time and still complete their degree in about two years. Courses meet one night per week from 6 to 10 p.m.

Daytime Software Application Courses
Software application courses utilizing Microsoft Office 2007 are offered in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, as well as Adobe software, during a special three-week daytime session in July. These self-paced study courses are one credit each and can be taken individually or together. Classes meet from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on July 8, 10, 15, 17, 22 and 24 (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Deadlines
Students are encouraged to have applications and all required credentials submitted to the Graduate Admissions Office at least two weeks prior to their desired start date. The eight-week evening course session begins the week of May 27. Applications will be accepted and processed after that date provided that there is still time to admit and enroll applicants in their chosen courses. However, interested students are encouraged to apply early to have adequate time to make housing, financial aid and payment arrangements.

All materials should be sent to:

Graduate Admissions Office

The cost per credit for all STA education courses is $595 per credit for the Summer 2008 term. Tuition for all preregistered students is due by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16. Students who register for their summer courses after May 16 must make payment on their account upon registration.

Student loans may be available for those seeking a master's degree or additional teacher certification. To apply for a Federal Stafford Loan, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov and file the 2007-08 Financial Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for loans for the 2008 summer semester. Students must carry at least six credits per semester to be eligible for a student loan. Students who plan to remain enrolled in courses during the 2008-09 academic year should also file the 2008-09 FAFSA application to be considered for aid for that school year.

Students who do not qualify for a Federal Stafford Loan may be eligible to receive funds through a private educational loan source. Private loans are available to creditworthy students or students with a creditworthy co-borrower. Interest rates are generally variable and established by the credit history of the student and potential co-borrower. Students can borrow through a lender of their choice or compare lender options by visiting www.rmu.edu/finaid.
