Financial Analyst

The Human Resources Department announces the position of Financial Analyst reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

Responsibilities include: financial decision making support including product line profitability reporting and analysis; supporting the further development of internal management information systems, including management objectives and University performance metrics; assists in maintaining the planning/forecasting models; analyze management reports that reflect departmental budget vs. actual financial reports; builds professional and productive relationships within the University; conducting ad hoc analyses for various areas of the organization; performing related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • General understanding of accounting concepts/procedures including expense account reconciliation, financial statement review and analysis, and financial scenario evaluation/presentation.

  • General understanding of the financial impact within an organization's business operations.

  •  Ability to multi-task in an evolving environment.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • High initiative, self starter, and team-oriented focus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with heavy emphasis on Excel.
