HSMG2400 - Medical Terminology

Fall 2011

This course introduces the student to terms widely used in the medical sciences and in the field of health care. The primary goal is to assist the student in developing his/her ability to read and understand the language of medical care. The course will acquaint the student with the basic concepts underlying medical terminology, including: examples of root elements, disorders of selected major body systems, diagnostic, operative, symptomatic terms and abbreviations.
