INFS6482 - Expert Systems Fall 2012 This course introduces the fields of expert systems and knowledge engineering. It surveys current expert system usage as well as introduces such concepts and issues as knowledge acquisition, knowledge representation, and techniques associated with inferring, knowledge base development, predicate logic, and inference engine construction. Emphasis is on analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing functions of knowledge engineering for an expert systems project. The course provides the opportunity to create functioning expert systems applications using an expert system generator or shell. Prerequisite -- CI555. 3 Credits
