POLS4050 - Israel: Cultures and Contexts Fall 2012 This course is a study abroad program to the State of Israel. The course will meet during the spring semester before departure, for the students to learn about the history and current political situation of Israel, and to prepare them for what they will encounter on their visit. An online course shell will be utilized to familiarize students with Israeli news sources, logistical and cultural issues, and other educational resources. In country, various sites will be visited, including: Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Jerusalem, the Galilee, and Nazareth. Other sites might include: Haifa, Akko, and Masada. 3 Credits
