THEA2060 - Modern Trends In Theater Fall 2012 This course examines contemporary dramatic literature of the last 30 years and how that literature has been interpreted on the commercial and college stage. Students read a wide range of dramatic literature including musicals, dramas, and comedies with special attention given to Tony and Pulitzer Prize winners. Students also study movements in theatre such as audience interaction, puppetry, improvisation and dramatic adaptations of literature or film. Students investigate production histories, design concepts, playwrights and write literary research essays in MLA format. 3 Credits
