THEA2080 - Directing
Fall 2012 This course explores the role of the director and how that position functions within the collaborative theatre art form. Topics addressed includes the nature of Drama and action, play analysis, casting techniques, working with designers, working with actors in the search for character, visual aesthetics for the theatre, flow theory, and organizing and running rehearsals. The course is taught through lecture, discussion and hands-on directing of projects. Prerequisite: THEA1040 or THEA2040 3 Credits |
