ELED4040 - Mathematics Methods
Spring 2013 Methods and Materials for Elementary Mathematics is designed to provide both the theoretical background and the practical knowledge necessary for planning, implementing, and assessing a mathematics program in a contemporary elementary school. Students will be introduced to a variety of approaches and instructional materials for effectively facilitating the learning of content and skills drawn from mathematics, and for integrating this learning with other areas of the elementary curriculum. This course is designed as part of the Methods & Materials Block of courses and must be taken concurrently with other courses in this Block. Extensive field experiences are required (ELED 4060/4061). Prerequisite: Candidacy Status. Co-requisites: ELED4030, ELED4050, ELED4060, ELED4061 3 Credits |
