HRMG6100 - Curr Iss In Human Resource Mgt
Fall 2013
This course examines issues of human resource management in today's organizations. Of particular interest is the need for a strategic approach to and inclusion of human resources in the organizational planning analysis. Interwoven throughout the course will be the importance of creating linkages between human resources and organizational strategies and accountabilities. Topical areas of examination will include a basic understanding of legal requirements as applied to employment. Current topics and emerging issues in the field such as implications from recent court rulings are covered as well as emphasis on ethics and social responsibility. This is a concentrated course utilizing case analysis and group work as a major instructional basis.
