ARTM2435 - Broadcast Journalism
Spring 2014
This course introduces students to the fast-paced broadcast news environment, covering in theory and practice how to produce and execute television news broadcasts. The course will cover broadcast journalism from producing, writing, reporting and shooting a story, conducting interviews, anchoring and editing to how to find, research and evaluate news story ideas as well as how to critically analyze information and one's own work. Students will produce several full newscasts during the semester. The course expands on the theoretical and hands-in knowledge gained in ARTM2410, ARTM2411, and ARTM2430, all of which are prerequisites.
