PSYC3760 - Fundamentals Of Counseling

This course provides an orientation to the fundamentals of professional counseling and psychotherapy. Topics include definitions and the history of counseling and psychotherapy, settings for professional practice, professional development, contemporary issues and ethics, as well as models of counseling and psychotherapy and their associated techniques.
Prerequisites: PSYC3580, PSYC3700, PSYC3755, 60 credits, and Department Head Permission
