ENGR8300 - Engr Leadership For Innovation

Fall 2014

This course prepares students to think strategically and provide leadership in innovation that drives our global economy. This course focuses on the strategic use of engineering, technology and innovation with a view towards developing more qualified engineering leaders. It is designed to help the students become more effective leaders of technology that they often create and implement in their organizations, including educational institutions. The course covers the integration of technology and strategy with innovation in modern corporations. Design and evolution of technology strategy are then illustrated with readings and case studies. Enactment of technology strategy to develop the corporate innovative capabilities is discussed leading to the creation and implementation of a development strategy to achieve competitive advantage in an industrial, government or educational setting.
