MGMT4540 - Recruitment and Retention

Spring 2015

The primary emphasis of this course is to focus on the recruitment process including job analysis and design, realistic job preview, job selection, orientation, and managing retention of employees. Within the context of each of these human resource areas will be an assessment of legal requirements, legislative laws and regulations related to staffing. The use of experiential exercises, outside readings, internet tools, lectures/videos on non-textbook material, related to recruitment will be utilized as a basis for the class. While this course examines human resources recruitment and retention from a domestic and global perspective, we will limit our focus on certain parts of the world due to time constraints of the length of the class. Prequisites: MGMT3600 and 60 credits
