This course posits that the context most conducive for inspiring individual and organizational development is the learning community. Principal candidates will engage in the completion of specific leadership competencies and experiences designed to equip them with those skills and strategies necessary to effectively initiate, facilitate and guide school improvement efforts through the development of professional learning communities. Candidates will accomplish these leadership competencies during a 90-hour internship in an elementary or secondary school.
