MBAD6055 - Econ Of Information Security

Summer 2016

This course has special relevance to organizations' efforts to guarantee the confidentiality, integrity and availability of their information resources. We will utilize traditional methods of microeconomic analysis which, while they have their origin in explaining traditional industry, can be extended to explain decisions such as a firms' optimal amount of security, the unique nature of information as a product, and the impact of public policy on industries that display definite network externalities.
Prerequisites: MBAP5032 or Department Head Permission
