NURS8040 - Clinical Teams I
Fall 2016 Doctoral
In this course students will be introduced to the basic concepts of working in health care teams. Course topics will include an overview of the health care system and the health care team, what each team participant contributes to clinical care based on professional training and experience, and how team participants provide care. The students in this course will learn about basic group management strategies incorporating communication skills, the use of incentives, leadership and facilitation skills. Students will also learn about problems posed by dysfunctional groups.
