INFS1050 - Fund Of Information Systems

Fall 2009

Provides the student with an understanding of computers, essential computer hardware and software, and the impact of information technology on organizations and society. The complexity of designing effective information systems is discussed, and the student learns to compare, analyze, and evaluate information from various systems. The course involves both an overview of technological concepts and student practice in solving typical information-related problems. The importance of logical reasoning and solving specific technical problems is addressed by developing structured logic designed to be non-language specific. 3 credits
