HIST2100 - History Of Pittsburgh
Summer 2016
This course explores the history of Pittsburgh and the surrounding region from its earliest habitation through the present day. Particular attention will be devoted to the interaction of the various people and cultures that settled in Pittsburgh, along with the important political, social, and economic forces that have helped to shape the city and its history. Classroom instruction will consist of lectures, reinforced by the text, videos, maps, disucssion, and supplemental readings.
