CRMJ3020 - Sex Crimes

Spring 2018

This course offers a critical look at the criminal justice system as it pertains to sex crimes. It examines areas concerned with sex offenders, victims, and sex crime reform. This course utilizes both a text book and current academic research to look broadly at the types of sex offenders and the crimes impact on victims. Additionally the course will investigate treatment programs and punishment relating to U.S. and state policy. Lastly societal response to sex offenders will be examined.
Prerequisite: CRMJ1010
