NURS9310 - Mgt Of Psychiatric Disorders I

This course builds directly on the knowledge base developed in the physical and psychiatric diagnosis courses but emphasizes a holistic perspective in the provision of comprehensive care for individuals experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus is on utilization of evidence-based practice findings to plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic regimens of individuals experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Research and theory are used to identify strategies integral for the promotion of mental health and prevention of illness.
Prerequisites: NURS9010, NURS9210, and NURS9215 Co-requisite: NURS9315
