This course will review basic descriptive and inferential statistical concepts and introduce biostatistics used in health care research. Understanding of types of data, assumptions underlying the use of specific parametric and non-parametric tests and interpretation of data will be the primary focus of this first graduate statistics class. The course will introduce basic principles of biostatistics.
