NURS9325 - Mgt Psychiat Disorders II Prac

This practicum course builds directly on the knowledge base developed in the physical and psychiatric diagnosis courses but emphasizes a holistic perspective in the provision of comprehensive care for individuals experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. The focus is on utilization of evidence-based practice findings to plan, implement, and evaluate therapeutic regimens of individuals experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric disorders. Psychological factors affecting common medical conditions will also be highlighted. The practicum experience provides the student with the opportunity to manage individuals with acute or chronic psychiatric disorders. .
Prerequisites: NURS9010, NURS9210, and NURS9215 Co-requisite: NURS9320
