The 36-credit degree program is designed for elementary or secondary school teachers, those in corporate training and development, or those in scholastic athletics and recreation management. Six specialization tracks are offered: Leadership, Corporate Training, Elementary Education, English Education, Mathematics Education and Sport Management.

Classes are taught by faculty members who are experts in education and related disciplines, and by practicing professionals who are leaders in the field. Fall and spring semester classes are offered in the evenings during eight-week terms. Many summer courses are also offered during the day for more intensive study.

The program includes a practicum that provides you with the opportunity to conduct a field-based project. You will work with teachers, managers, administrators or other decisionmakers and policy-makers in an educational setting to perform this on-site, guided practical experience. You may choose to focus your practicum in your specialization area.

Specialization Tracks
The Leadership track is designed for educators interested in setting goals, allocating resources to instruction, managing curricula, monitoring lesson plans and evaluating programs.

The Corporate Training track is designed for individuals who create and/or deliver instruction to adults in a business setting. Studies are applicable to a variety of industries, including government and nonprofit organizations.

The Elementary Education track is designed for elementary teachers who wish to enhance their expertise with a master's degree, or for those currently pursuing elementary teacher certification.

The English Education track is designed for secondary English or communications teachers who wish to enhance their expertise with a master's degree, or for those currently pursuing secondary teacher certification in English or communication.

The Mathematics Education track is designed for secondary mathematics teachers who wish to enhance their expertise with a master's degree, or for those currently pursuing secondary teacher certification in mathematics.
