The International Studies minor allows students to complete an interdisciplinary series of courses which explore cultural diversity from various perspectives. Since there is an increasing awareness of the importance of understanding diverse cultures, this minor is beneficial for students in all majors. Effective interaction with persons from different cultures requires the knowledge base which the minor provides.

In addition to four required courses, students are provided with an opportunity to select two courses from a list of options. This flexibility gives students the ability to "customize" the program based on their career goals and interests.
