Rachel Cibulas '07
B.S.B.A. Sport Management
Job: Head coach of Adrian College women’s lacrosse team.
Home: Adrian, Mich. A Sewickley area native.
Proudest achievement: Last year, her first as head coach, Cibulas was named Coach of the Year of the Midwest Women’s Lacrosse Conference. The Bulldogs finished 17-3, earning both the MWLC's regular season and championship titles before eventually losing to Denison in double overtime in the NCAA Division III tournament.
Favorite RMU memory: “Seeing the changes at RMU. I have a long history with Robert Morris. My grandmother, Dorothy Cibulas, was a professor there and my mom, Marianne Appelt Cibulas '75 is an alum who taught night classes there. My sister (Julia Cibulas McFarlane '07 M'09) and my aunt (Ann Cibulas Puskaric '81) are also alumni. So I am just really proud of how the school has grown, both academically and athletically.”
Last RMU event attended: The Three Rivers Classic, a four-team invitational men's hockey tournament at Consol Energy Center in December.
Why she stays connected: “The fact that it feels like a family. Dr. Dell’Omo will still recognize me. I am still connected with my old boss, Marty Galosi. I love Dr. Synowka and try to email him every once in a while. It was just like a family and such a welcoming environment.”
