“Philanthropy means doing something for the good of others, like giving money or even your time. Without the money that is raised for any organization and the time that people put in for it, those organizations wouldn't exist.”
Our mission is to spread the word about philanthropy and how it impacts RMU and the entire Colonial community. This year our team will:
Both hand-selected Co-Chairs and volunteer students will operate under Office of Institutional Advancement, assisting with educating, engaging and exciting their peers. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning exclusive and all-inclusive events, marketing and promotions, attending regular meetings, and working office hours.
Those interested in serving on the SPA executive board will apply, interview, and be selected by IA staff. They will earn SET credit, be required to work office hours, and receive a stipend per semester.
General Student Philanthropy Ambassadors will be comprised of volunteers. They will promote events, be required to attend meetings, and help to secure support for the Class Gift.
