Professional Background

• Donna Anderson became RMU's first Director of Student Civic Engagement in 2007, after serving 2 years as Director of America's Promise - both in the Division of Student Life. Donna's responsibilities include overseeing Community Service, leading the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance certification program, partnering with faculty on Service-Learning, and assisting students in becoming civically engaged citizens. Prior to coming to RMU, Donna spent 10 years in the nonprofit sector as a Senior Program Manager for the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh, and as an Executive Director for the National Conference for Community and Justice Pittsburgh Chapter (diversity/inclusion) and Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers of Southwestern Pennsylvania (aging services). Earlier in her career, Donna spent 8 years as a church pastor in the United Methodist Church, where she is an ordained Elder.
