On-Campus Recruiting

The on-campus recruiting program provides students and recent alumni with opportunities to interview with employers on campus.

RMU Student/Alumni Eligibility

  • Students must be currently attending classes and be enrolled in an academic program in which they will be granted a degree, certificate, or diploma from Robert Morris University.
  • Alumni must have graduated in the previous academic year from one of RMU's degree, certificate, or diploma-granting programs.
  • Students and recent alumni must complete an online user registration profile with ColonialTRAK and upload a resume on the system.

Canceling Interviews
It is expected that students/alumni will honor their obligation to keep their interview reservation. If a student/alumnus finds it is necessary to cancel an interview, the student/alumnus must notify the Career Center at least 24 hours before the time of an interview scheduled Tuesday through Friday and 72 hours before a Monday interview appointment.

No-Show/Late Cancellation Policy
Students/alumni who "No-Show" or "Late Cancel" an interview will be required to send a letter of apology to the employer and give a copy of the letter to the Career Center. Access to all full-time positions posted in ColonialTRAK will be deactivated until Career Center receives a copy of the apology letter. A student/alumnus who "No Shows" or "Late Cancels" a total of two times in any combination will forfeit their interviewing privileges for the remainder of the academic year.

Late Arrival to Interviews
If a student is late for an interview, it is up to the discretion of the employer as to whether the interview with the student will be conducted.

Bad Weather Policy
If classes are canceled because of inclement weather, interviews will also be canceled. Please contact the Career Center to reschedule your interview.

Interview Guidelines
The Career Center strongly encourages students/alumni to sign up for interviews they are genuinely interested in, not just for use as interview practice. Students and alumni are also advised to research and learn about the employer prior to the interview. In addition, dress professionally and arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled interview.

Practice Interview Program
All policies outlined above also apply to students and alumni participating in the Practice Interview Program.
