Youth Promise Summit
The annual Youth Promise Summit brings together 200+ diverse high school students from across the region for a day that may include motivational speakers, college and health fair activities, workshops and community service opportunities.
Tutoring and Mentoring Youth
RMU students serve as tutors and mentors for youth ages 5 to 18 in after school programs held at local schools, community centers and congregations. Opportunities exist with Big Brothers Big Sisters, teh Bradley Center, Girls Hope, Girl Scouts, Holy Family Institute and numerous other community partners. You can make a positive impact in the life of a child by donation your time and sharing your friendship. RMU's Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring program at the Mooncrest Afterschool Program has proven to be so popular with RMU students that a second site is being established in the Cornell School District. Both locations are only 4 miles from campus. If you'd like information about these opportunities, please click on the links below.
