Undergraduate Non-Degree to Degree Status Policy

New students desiring admittance into the non-degree General Studies programs must follow application procedures as outlined in the University catalog and will be assigned accordingly by the Enrollment Management Office.

A Robert Morris student desiring to change from non-degree to degree status must contact the Academic Services Office for verification of academic eligibility and must complete a change of major request. All academic credentials will be sent to the enrollment management office for final determination of the degree status request. Degree status decisions will be based on the following criteria:

  1. Students must have earned a C.Q.P.A. of 2.00 or higher.

  2. Students applying for degree candidacy, who have completed more than 30 credits will be considered only by special permission of the school dean.

  3. A student cannot take more than three upper-division courses while being on non-degree status.
