-- RMU’s chapter of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) has received the Gold STAR Award. The chapter was awarded Gold STAR Status at the 2011 NSCS Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. NSCS is an honors organization for high-achieving first and second year students with more than 300 student-run chapters at universities across the country. Read more here.

-- Homecoming is right around the corner, Saturday, Oct. 8, and once again the university is making history: The Colonials will be playing their first night football game at Joe Walton Stadium against the St. Francis University Red Flash. Festivities include a concery by Scott Blasey of The Clarks and a post-game fireworks show. For details go to rmu.edu/homecoming.
