-- The Middle States Commission on Higher Education has reaffirmed RMU's accreditation through 2022, and commended the university for both the quality of its self-study process and its self-study report. That process was chaired by Ann Jabro, university professor of communication, and the report was written by David Majka, director of institutional research and associate professor of learning resources. -- Val Howard, associate professor nursing, is co-chairing the Global Network for Simulation in Healthcare (GNSH) Meeting
in Switzerland this week. The meeting represents a grassroots effort of global simulation organizations whose leaders meet and discuss possibilities of collaboration and improving patient safety. Simulation leaders from Korea, Japan, Poland, Australia, Brazil, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland to name a few will be represented. Howard is co-chairing the event with the leader of the Swiss organization, Patrick Van Gele, dean of the School of Nursing, University of Applied Sciences, Lausanne, Switzerland. Howard is also the director of the Regional RISE Center
at RMU and assistant dean for external affairs for the School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
