-- The School of Education and Social Sciences has been re-accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council and the Council for Accreditation of Teacher Preparation. RMU's teacher education program is now accredited for seven years, the longest period possible, and exceeded every quality standard.

-- RMU in the News  has been updated with October's media coverage of RMU. In the spotlight was the First Semester College in High School Program and the psych DNP program.

YOU'RE INVITED

-- The Department of Media Arts welcomes back to campus former Rooney International Visiting Scholar Luca Guardabascio, who will be at RMU through Nov. 13. Guardabascio is an Italian director and screenwriter for both film and television. He is on a U.S. tour screening his new documentary film, Dove Posarono I Suoi Piedi, which chronicles the experience of a young woman named Angela Volpini and her experience with the Virgin Mary. A screening will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Wheatley Center.

-- RMU Colonial Theatre and the Moon Area High School present a joint production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Nov. 13-17 at the Moon Area High School auditorium. The show is set for 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13-16 and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors and $12 for other adults.

-- The Uzuri Think Tank presents "Habari," a wine and cheese reception for faculty and staff, from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Ferry Room of Massey Hall. Habari is Swahili for information. RSVP by Nov. 10 to Anthony Robins at ext. 6482 or to uzuri@rmu.edu.

ROAD TRIP TO KENTUCKY...STILL SPACE LEFT!
The RMU Department of Athletics has a limited number of tickets remaining to the Robert Morris at Kentucky men's basketball game on Sunday, Nov. 17 at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Cost is $42 each and includes motor coach transportation from lower Sewall Center parking lot to the game and back day of. Bus will leave at 9 am and make stops for lunch and dinner for which riders are on their own to pay. Game is at 7 pm. Bus will return to RMU immediately afterward. To purchase tickets by check or cash, you must come to the athletic ticket office on the second floor of Joe Walton Stadium between 9 am and 5 pm weekdays. Payments by Visa, MasterCard or Discover will be accepted over the phone at 412-397-4949.

THE RMU FOOTBALL COACH'S SHOW...Featuring John Banaszak continues Monday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. inside the Buffalo Wild Wings in Gibsonia. Come on out for the live taping and get the inside scoop on Colonials Football. The show will air Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 9 p.m. on 970 AM ESPN.

THE 8TH ANNUAL SUSAN HOFACRE 5K RUN/WALK...named in honor of the late RMU athletic director is this Saturday, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m. starting and finishing at Joe Walton Stadium on the RMU Campus. The event benefits the Susan Hofacre Memorial Scholarship Fund. TOYS FOR TOTS...Collection bins on campus are located in Joe Walton Stadium (first floor main lobby), Sewall Center Arena (main entrance), Sewall Center Third Floor (inside upper doors), Island Sports Center (main lobby), Nicholson Center (across from Heritage Room) and Hale Center (inside third floor doors facing Franklin Center). Please be generous by donating a new unwrapped toy and help us support our partners in this annual venture, the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Better yet come to the football game versus Sacred Heart at noon on Nov. 16 in Joe Walton Stadium, the women's basketball at 1:30 pm on Nov. 23 versus UMBC in Sewall Center, the men's hockey game at 3:30 pm on Nov. 23 versus Holy Cross at the Island Sports Center, the women's hockey game versus RIT at 3 pm on Dec. 7 at the Island Sports Center and/or the men's basketball game at 4 pm versus Toledo on Dec. 7 at the Sewall Center...bring a new unwrapped toy to any or all of these games and get in free!
