Bachelor of Fine Arts Overview
To respond to the increasingly diverse needs of the design industry and the challenge of new technology, all students sample the areas of graphic design, photography, television/video production and interactive/web design. This enables students to choose one of these four areas with confidence for their final concentration and understand the important links between the disciplines.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts degree is more specialized and intensive in the areas of concentration, with 39 credits of RMU core requirements, 9 credits in business studies, and 78 credits of Media Arts coursework. The degree suits those who are clear that they wish to pursue a career in one of the four concentration areas, although they do not have to choose one until the sophomore year.
