How do I apply? What are the admission requirements?
A: There are only THREE steps!
Q: How long are classes?
A: Online and Off-Campus classes are eight weeks.
Q: Can my online or off-campus degree be accelerated?
A: Yes! RMUs programs are flexible and tailored to fit your life.
Q: Is RMU accredited? Is my online/off-campus degree accredited?
A: RMU is a fully accredited university, and that includes our online and off-campus degree programs. We are accredited as a university by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Many of our academic programs have industry-specific accreditations as well. You can read more about accreditations here.
Q: How do I pay for my education?
A: Start the process immediately by filing your FAFSA. Most students who apply for financial aid through the FAFSA are eligible for federal aid. Payment plans are also available. Once accepted, you will be assigned a RMU financial aid counselor that will guide you throughout the duration of your program should any financial concerns arise. Q: How much does an RMU online or off-campus degree cost?
A: At RMU, you can receive the same quality private education online at a discounted price. Online courses are $680/credit and every student who applies for financial aid through the FAFSA is eligible for federal aid. Off-Campus courses are determined by location
Where do I get textbooks for my courses?
A: Students can either buy books at the Barnes and Noble Bookstore or through other vendors. Books can be ordered online through the campus bookstore for at-home delivery.
Q: Where do I register for my courses?
A: As an online student or off-campus, there's no need to remember enrollment dates, navigate degree requirements, or stress over course availability. Your Student Services counselor will register your courses two terms in advance according to your degree requirements.
Q: Will someone address technical questions & issues?
A: Absolutely. Your Student Services counselor can be contacted seven days a week (Monday - Sunday) if you encounter a technical issue. You may contact your counselor via email at onlinestudentSVCS@rmu.edu or via phone at 412-397-6306
Q: Do I have the same access to campus amenities as traditional students?
A: Yes. Our online and off-campus students are just as much a part of our university as traditional students. Online students have complete access to all facilities, such as the library, gym, cafeteria, etc.
Q: Do online courses have specific login times?
A: No, convenience and flexibility are key aspects of an RMU online degree. Courses are accessible anytime, from anywhere as long as you have an internet connection
Q: Does RMU offer military benefits for online or off-campus students?
A: RMU salutes military members and veterans. We are military-friendly and offer generous college benefits, closing any gap between the post 9/11 veteran's education benefits allotment and tuition for qualifying veterans. Learn more here.
