Happy Holidays 2012: Robert Morris University Happy Holidays 2012 | Robert Morris University

Newsroom

The holidays are a time for reflection, for savoring precious moments with family and friends, for showing gratitude for the blessings life has bestowed upon us.

Robert Morris University has enjoyed its share of good fortune this year. In September we opened the Wheatley Center, the new home for the School of Communications and Information Systems. We celebrated the conclusion of our historic Changing Lives, Building Futures capital campaign, which paid for the Wheatley Center and the School of Business Building that we opened in 2011.

We are grateful for the alumni, faculty, staff, parents, and all our friends who contributed to the campaign, which also allowed the university to add 30 new endowed scholarships and significantly increase the amount of financial aid we provide our students.

We are grateful for all our students, who excel as leaders in the classroom, in their communities, and on the field of play. Many of you reading this are alumni, and you know how RMU has changed your life – and how hard you worked to earn that diploma. At least half of our full-time undergraduate students work at least 20 hours a week, off-campus, to afford their education, even though RMU manages to keep tuition among the lowest in the state for private institutions.

The generosity of our donors helps these students afford their education, just as it helped many of you. We hope that during this holiday season, you will consider, if you have not yet done so this year, making a gift to Robert Morris University to show your appreciation and to help us to continue to change lives. You can give online or contact Jen Young at youngj@rmu.edu or 412-397-5452.

Please have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season.
