130901eFoundationsAlumRHome: Originally from Philadelphia, George lives in Moon Township with his wife, Mary Gerard M’05, the assistant director of alumni relations at RMU.

Work: He retired more than a decade ago from a management position at Coca-Cola in Philadelphia. Now he does volunteer work at the Heritage Valley Surgery Center in Moon Township, doing clerical work, escorting patients, and cleaning.

Proudest achievement: “My three sons. Timothy, Stephen, and Christian.” (Timothy is an RMU legacy, having earned his B.A. in applied mathematics this spring.)

Favorite RMU memory: “Playing the flag football games that we used to have out there when I lived on campus.”

Last RMU event attended: Greeting new RMU families at Freshman Move-In Day. George is also a member of Alumni Association Council, and you can usually find him working the grill at alumni cookouts, including in Tailgate Alley for Homecoming.

How he stays connected: George believes in giving back to the university. He has created an endowed scholarship in his name at RMU and is a member of the President’s Council.
