Richard King Mellon Foundation Gives RMU Historic $5 Million Gift
The Richard King Mellon Foundation has awarded Robert Morris University a $5 million grant, the largest in the university’s history, to support the RMU School of Business and the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management. The School of Business received $3 million toward its new building, which officiallly opened in September 2011. The 18,000-square-foot facility includes classroom space, the PNC Business Center, the United States Steel Video Conferencing and Technology Resource Center, and The ATI Center.
Jewish Healthcare Foundation Gives RMU Grant in Honor of Alvin Rogal to Support Nursing Research
The Jewish Healthcare Foundation awarded RMU a five-year, $250,000 grant to support research that improves patient care and safety. The foundation’s gift will establish the Alvin Rogal Research Award in Safety and Quality Improvement, which will benefit students in RMU’s doctor of nursing practice (D.N.P.) program. Eligible doctoral students will receive $10,000 annually to support a research project that promotes quality and safety in patient care.
