Moon Township, Pa., July 10, 2008 - The Robert Morris University (RMU) Colonial Theatre will open its summer season on Thursday, July 17, with a performance of "Fuddy Meers" at RMU's Moon Township campus.

"Fuddy Meers" is the story of Claire, who has a rare form of psychogenic amnesia that erases her memory whenever she goes to sleep. Every morning she wakes up in a blank state and her husband is forced to reacquaint her with her life. One morning her husband's efforts are interrupted when she meets a limping, lisping, half-blind, half-deaf man in a ski mask, who has arrived, he says, to save her life.

What ensues is a wickedly fun race to discover Claire's lost past, a journey that joins together a bitter and perpetually stoned teenager, a recent stroke victim whose speech has been reduced to complete gibberish, an intense and claustrophobic lady cop, and a dimwitted thug who is guided by the foul-mouthed puppet he wears on his hand.

The play will be performed in the Colonial Theatre in Massey Hall at 8 p.m. July 17, 19 and 25, and at 2 p.m. on July 27. 

Colonial Theatre's summer line-up also includes the comedy "Nunsense," which tells the story of the Sisters of Hoboken, who were once missionaries to a leper colony. After their failed attempts at saving the lepers, the sisters start a new life operating Mt. Saint Helen's parochial school. When most of the sisters die of botulism, the survivors bury all but four of the deceased sisters due to the lack of funds. To raise money to bury their fellow sisters, the nuns cook-up a clever scheme. 

"Nunsense" will be performed in the Colonial Theatre at 8 p.m. July 18, 24 and 26, and at 2 p.m. on July 20.
