Get Competitive with Club Sports
With plenty of club sports programs to choose from, students can show off their athletic skills while competing against student club teams from other colleges and universities. Many club teams are coached by individuals with collegiate playing and coaching experience.
Bowling
RMU’s co-ed club bowling team is a member of the USBC Collegiate and the American Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference. For more than 50 years, the team has competed at the highest level in regional and national competitions, earning recognition as a nationally ranked bowling program.

Men’s Basketball
The RMU men's club basketball team plays in the Great Lakes West Division of the NationalClub Basketball Association, competing against colleges from eastern Ohio, western Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. It also plays against teams from local community colleges and organizes tournaments with intramural teams from surrounding institutions. Always competitive, they advanced all the way to the final four of the NCBBA Championship in 2015.

Men's Baseball
The RMU men’s club baseball team plays in Division IIof the National Club Baseball Association, competing in the District IV South league with California University of Pa., Carnegie Mellon, Duquesne, and WVU. The team also travels and competes in other tournaments throughout the year. The baseball team has two seasons: one in the fall and one in the spring. Each year the winner of the District IV South league has the opportunity to compete for a national championship against teams from all over the country.

Men's Golf
The RMU men’s club golf program competes in the Atlantic Region of the National Collegiate Club Golf Association, which includes Yale, Virginia, and Boston College. The team has qualified several times for the NCCGA National Championship. Golf team members can practice year-round at the RMU Island Sports Center golf dome, which includes an indoor putting green and practice bunker to help golfers tune up their short game.

The RMU men’s ACHA Division I club ice hockey team plays in the top tier of collegiate club hockey in the College Hockey Mid-America conference. The team plays at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island and competes against club teams from Pitt, Duquesne, WVU, and other colleges in western Pennsylvania and Ohio.

Men's Ice Hockey D-III
The RMU men’s ACHA Division III club ice hockey plays in the College Hockey East league. The team has a strong history of success, reaching the nationals three times and capturing a CHE Championship in 2013. The team plays at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island and competes with California University of Pa., Penn State-Behrend and Penn State-Altoona, St. Vincent College, and Pitt-Johnstown.

Men's Inline Hockey
The RMU men’s club inline hockey team plays in the Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association, competing against teams from Penn State, Syracuse, Boston University, University of Delaware, and the University of Massachusetts, among others. For the third consecutive year, the team received a bid to the 2018 National Championship tournament. They play at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island.

Men's Lacrosse
The RMU men's club lacrosse team is a member of the Three Rivers Conference in Division II of the National College Lacrosse League. Other league members include Carnegie Mellon, Slippery Rock, Indiana University of Pa., California University of Pa., Edinboro, Penn State-Altoona, Penn State-Behrend, and Pitt-Johnstown. No prior lacrosse knowledge is required to join the team.

The RMU men’s rugby team plays in the Three Rivers Collegiate Rugby Conference, Division III, which is a member of the National Small College Rugby Organization. The team competes against schools such as Carnegie Mellon University, Fairmont State, Franciscan University, Geneva College, Grove City College, and Point Park University. Ranked among the top 20 club rugby programs in the nation, the team has won the Three Rivers Conference Championship and twice qualified for the NSCRO national championship tournament.

Men's Soccer
The RMU men’s club soccer team plays against teams from around the region including West Virginia University, the University of Pittsburgh, California University of Pa., and Slippery Rock University. The team plays its home games both at both North Athletic Complex and Joe Walton Stadium, and also competes in indoor tournaments at the RMU Island Sports Center. Practices are typically two nights a week.

Pickleball
This fun co-ed sport combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s played with a paddle and a plastic ball on a badminton-sized court with a slightly modified tennis net. Players compete in singles or doubles.

Softball
The co-ed club softball team competes against club teams throughout the Pittsburgh region.
